Summary: There are moments, small moments really, where she stops. No matter what she is doing, where she was going a moment earlier, she stops, and she misses him.

There are moments, small moments really, where she stops. No matter what she is doing, where she was going a moment earlier, she stops, and she misses him. There are also bigger moments, when her bed is lonely and cold at night, or when something important happens, and her first instinct is to tell him about it, before she remembers that he’s gone.

But mostly, it’s the little ones, the sudden pang in her heart, like a cut that doesn’t hurt until you look at it.

She allows herself that one moment to miss him, to mourn for what they had. But after that moment, she keeps moving on. Because she has to. Because it’s the only thing that she can do.
