Title: Widow
Rating: PG
Summery: It seemed so simple at first. It was a ring. A nice ring, yes, but still only a ring. And yet, somehow over the course of a few hours it had turned from just a ring, to her entire marriage, to the single most important item she possessed. And it was gone. Like Jin.Disclaimer: I do not own
Lost. At all. I wish but alas...
Author's Note: I really, really need to get on top of my
psych_30 claim. But I'm almost half way done, so yay on that. :D This was written for prompt #1: transference. I just wish it weren't so horrendously short.
Jin is dead.
They are all dead.
You are alone.
Again. It seemed so simple at first. It was a ring. A nice ring, yes, but still only a ring. And yet, somehow over the course of a few hours it had turned from just a ring, to her entire marriage, to the single most important item she possessed. And it was gone. Like Jin.
She knew that she was thinking irrationally, that things get lost. They’re eventually found and then it is easy to forget that you were ever without them. She knows this, but everything feels different. It builds and builds on top of her until it is crushing her and all she can thing about is Jin, how he left her, how he could die, and that she might never see him again.
These thoughts bear down on her as she runs through the grass.
He is dead.
His gone.
Alone. Alone. Alone. She reaches her garden and she can’t bear it anymore. She’s tearing up everything in sight, screaming, crying, losing her mind. She falls to her knees and she wants to sink into the ground, burry herself in it and never come out. She can’t focus on anything, not even breathing. All that she can do is cry.
I just wish it weren't so horrendously short. Fics will be only what they will - we can't make them fit into predetermined parameters, we can only ride along with them until it is time to set them free. (sorry-feeling a bit philosophical this morning, it seems.)
